Week 1: Introduction to Programming & Python

Understand the fundamentals of programming and develop your first Python programs by learning basic syntax, variables and data types, building a strong foundation for logical thinking and problem-solving.

Day 1:

Topic: Introduction to Programming & Python

  • What is Programming and Types of Programming (Sequential, Modular, Object)
  • Introduction to Python and comparison with other languages
  • Key Features of Python and Future with Python
  • Working with First Program of Python
  • Syntax of Python and Relation between Variables, Datatypes, Values

Day 2:

Topic: Control Structures

  • Introduction to Control Structures
  • Conditional Statements using if else
  • Introduction to Operators like Arithmetical, Logical, Relational
  • Looping with for and Loops
  • Working with break continue and pass

Day 3:

Topic:Modular Programming - Functions

  • What is Modular Programming via Functions
  • Types of Functions
  • Writing Simple function in Python
  • Creating functions that can take values
  • Creating functions that can return values

Week 2: Collections & Data Structures

Control program flow using conditional statements, operators and loops to build interactive programs that make decisions and repeat actions efficiently.

Day 1:

Topic: Collections - Lists

  • Introduction to Collections in Python
  • Overview of Lists
  • How to declare Lists and benefits
  • Performing Operations like add, modify, delete, sort, search, traverse

Day 2:

Topic: Collections - Tuples

  • Overview of Tuples

Day 3:

Topic: Collections - Dictionaries

  • Overview of Dictionaries

Week 3: Train Your Own AI (Teachable Machine + Scratch)

Design reusable and organized programs by creating functions that accept inputs and return outputs, promoting structured programming practices.

Day 1:

Topic: Modular Programming - Built-Ins and User-Defined

  • Types of Modules: Built-Ins, User-Defined, Third-Party
  • How to use Builtins modules like os, random and sys
  • How to work with User Defined Modules

Day 2:

Topic: Modular Programming - Third Party

  • How to work with Third Party Modules
  • Introduction to PIP command
  • Overview of Pandas, NumPy

Day 3:

Topic: File Handling & Menu System

  • How to create menu system in Python

Week 4: Object-Oriented Programming & Project

Manage multiple pieces of data effectively using lists and perform operations such as adding, updating, deleting, sorting and traversing elements.

Day 1:

Topic: Introduction to OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)

  • What is Object Oriented Programming?
  • What are classes and Objects
  • What are Data Variables and Data Methods
  • How to associate class and objects with real world example

Day 2:

Topic: Mini Project - Preparation

  • Build a Jukebox app with two user roles: Admin (can add, modify, delete songs) and Listener (can view and search the song list).

Day 3:

Topic: Project - Submission or Presentation

  • Present developed Jukebox app to the class & 1:1 Parent Connect

Python is a gateway to the world of technology—AI, data science, automation, and real-world software building.
